Parks & Recreation’s executive producer Mike Schur has revealed that he expects April and Andy to remain happy for the time being.
The duo, played by Aubrey Plaza and Chris Platt, got married in the third season.
Aubrey Plaza has previously described the relationship between the pair as “really cool”.
Schur has now revealed that the duo will still be in their “honeymoon phase” when the show returns in September.
“I don’t feel the need to put them through the wringer,” he told TV Guide. “Stories require conflict, and I’m sure at some point we’re going to [delve] into their conflict.
“But so far the kind of stories we’ve been pitching for them are along the lines of goofing off and having a good time. We have a lot of fun stories for them.”
The fourth season of Parks & Recreation will premiere on September 22 on NBC.
